Eligibility Criteria

The McDonnell International Scholars Academy is open to prospective graduate and professional students who plan to enroll in one of a select group of full-time doctoral or master’s degree programs at Washington University in St. Louis.

To be eligible for the fellowship:

Application to an Eligible Program: Applicants must apply to one of the eligible doctoral or master’s degree programs at WashU. Admission to the McDonnell Academy is separate from the application to the graduate program, and both must be submitted individually.
Educational Qualifications: Applicants must have earned or plan to earn a bachelor’s degree or higher by July 2024.
International Focus: While applicants from all countries are welcome, priority is given to international candidates who are graduates of one of the Academy’s Partner Universities.
